Protest on the steps of the HHS(human health services)
On behave of the movement for the government to recognize and admit that as a nation of greatness we the United States can not be irresponsible to needs of the citizens due to the evidence at hand through research and compiled data. I would like to personally thank ASA for inviting me to participate in their protest rally on October 5, 2004 in Washington
D. C. on the steps of the HHS (Human Health Services) building earlier this week. I am a Representative of M.M.A.N.Y. (Medical Marijuana Association of N. Y.) a non profit organization that believes it’s the right of citizens to be educated and choose health recovery options that are available to those that qualify by the request of a Doctor’s approval.
I t doesn’t take a genius to realize that this is 2004 and not the 1930’s.When a one Mr. Harry J. Anslinger changed the way the world would for ever look at Hemp. Because the world that he lived in, many government officials that voted to prohibit marijuana were un aware that marijuana is hemp, cannabis, weed, pot whatever you want to call it, It’s all the same. And it is no surprise that this also was a direct move against select minorities that were to include Mexicans, Philippians, Chinese, Blacks and we can not forget the Jazz musicians this is very important because rumor has it that Mr. Anslinger;s daughter ran off with a Jazz musician. I guess that would really help you understand things a little
Huh!
Well this is not the 30’s but in fact the year is 2004 and in the state of New York if you’re a citizen in possession of some “trees” as we say in the city of N.Y. you’ll go to jail and wait while your being check out for any other crimes that you may or may not have committed .The longer your stay just means that you’re a good citizen because the computer did not spit your name out and the arresting officer has about 9-13 pages of reports to fill out .So those of you, who that one officer that decided not to take you in
Give thanks to the NYPD for the lack of updated computers systems that are for ever crashing. This can set you back at least anywhere from 6-9 hrs this is of course provided you don’t have any warrants……God forbid. Then you’re on your way to court after you finally see the judge. You’re told you have to stay out of trouble for at least a year. Or the charge you have for possession will be added to what ever new charge you acquire. Then you’re a free citizen again and the first thing you do is go home and blaze a phat blunt.
Now what if I were a patient and I must have my medicine every where I go, my pills for one complication after another my trees so that I can deal with illness in a way that is working for me, because every thing else makes me feel so out of it yet this herb helps make my fight to live that much more viable.Millions of people that are sick are being put in jail some die some survive because our government wont recognize the truth that can no longer be suppressed. It’s time for us to realize that were not still living in the 1900’s any more this is a new century. Not only do we think different but we must act according to the facts that can no longer be pushed aside or tossed into the trash as our former president Nixon did after hiring a group to do research on the subject of marijuana, and did not like the findings.
I was there when I watched patients being arrested, A 600 ft roll of 7000 doctors that say there is medical and therapeutic value for medical marijuana and the government has to change it’s wording due to research and data act . I also had the opportunity to speak on behave of the millions of New Yorkers who could not be there. We will change the law of the land in regard to the movement by causing the government to listen to the people and science and stop considering citizens criminals. It’s up to us to say were not going away was here to stay.
